Workout Wednesday

I'm linking up again with Skinny Meg and all those motivated mommas (or maybe not mommas) to bring to you this week's edition of.....bum ba da daaaa.....WORKOUT WEDNESDAY!!!!

In my head that sounded amazing...in yours...eh who knows.

So here's where my Wednesday starts.  A GREAT pair of shoes, fun socks, comfy shorts, and a tank with a super cool phrase.  The tank for me is key.  It helps me set my mood.  Dorky??  I think not.  Then I have to twist up my mop so it doesn't get all crazy and I'm ready to hit the road...after coffee and a banana.

Holy geez I'm cheesing it hard in that hair pic.

We have a membership at a YMCA that's not too far from our house.  There's a ton to do for all of us.  Even our little man.  On the drive there I jam out, drink water and coffee, finish off my banana and wake up!  Since Billy has spazzed out every.single.time. we've taken him to the gym daycare, I've started getting up early so I can get in my weights before Bill leaves for work.  In the evening I try to do stair master, treadmill, or something while Bill fits his workout in.  Billy is good in the daycare for about 25-30 minutes.  If he doesn't last very long then I bust out the stroller and we go for a jog on the indoor track.  Then it's time to hang with him!  So far we've been taking him out on the basketball court.  He loves it, and we do too.  Running suicides next to your hubby, having your son laughing and throwing basketballs at you, is quite a workout!

Blurry action shots.  Almost caught a smile!

Now on to the real reason you're here.  Sometimes I get side tracked...  Workout Wednesday.  I'm continuing on the Jamie Eason plan I started about a week ago.  I talked about her in my last WW post. Today I warmed up for 10 minutes on the stair master.  I usually try to work up a good pace.  Not too fast so I don't bite it, but not too slow I look like I'm sleep climbing.  I like to get my heart rate up and get nice and warm...not full on sweaty...yet ;).

After that I followed this plan.

Sorry it's so blurry.

Then I followed it up with a walk/jog on the treadmill for 10 minutes.

My workouts have to quick and to the point.  They gym opens up at 5:30, and I have to be back home by 6:20 so Bill can get on the road.  I like it though.  Strictly business.

If you've never read my blog and want to know more about me and how I got started on my journey, you can read about it here.  I hope you'll come back to hear more about my progress, help motivate me, and read about my little family.

Here's to a Wonderful Wednesday!

I'm out!

  1. you look amazing! So nice to "meet" you! :) Your son looks like he's around the same age as my son, and we spend tons of time at our local YMCA. The best part is that he is guaranteed to take a nap after!
